Maia Francisco Borruel, MA

Maia Francisco Borruel is a research assistant at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands. At CWTS, her work focuses on the identification of universities for Leiden Ranking, KnowMak and U-Multirank, which also involves data cleansing for their corresponding databases.

Maia holds a MA in Music, in the fields of Computer Science, Technology and Electronics (2017); a Postgraduate Diploma in Web 2.0, Communities, Social Networks (2012); and a Bachelor in Classical Piano (2007).

Maia has worked as a digital content manager, as well as becoming a successful book editor, with several graphic-design books published under her watch.
