Bijan Ranjbar-Sahraei, PhD

Bijan Ranjbar-Sahraei is a data scientist at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University. He has a PhD in Social Networks Analysis from Maastricht University, and has carried out his postdoctoral research within the AIDA project – focused on Research Positioning and Research Trend Identification - at Delft University of Technology.

Bijan is responsible for maintaining the CWTS database environment for which he continuously explores the possibility to use various data sources for development of new databases. He also works on novel visualization methods to facilitate the analysis and interpretation of bibliometric data.
